Some songs are written in a moment, while others take years before they are shared. Ennalumae (எந்நாளுமே), meaning "Forevermore" or "Forever", is a heartfelt declaration of worship that began in 2012 and, more than a decade later, was released to encourage churches and believers to draw closer to Jesus Christ through praise.
Ennalumae was written during the final year of university by Stanley Varghese, Chris Stalin, Ruban MS, and Jobin Philip. Gathering in Chris's home studio, they spent the evening praying, worshipping, and writing together until the song was complete.
From the very beginning, the desire was simple: to write a song that would help people express their love for God and lead them into heartfelt worship. Although the song was completed in 2012, it remained part of the team's journey for many years before finally being released on 25 December 2023.
Ennalumae is a declaration of worship centred on the character of God. The lyrics proclaim Him as our Light, our Saviour, our Redeemer, and our Friend forever, inviting every believer to draw near to Him with a heart full of praise.
Reflecting on Christ's sacrifice at Calvary, the song is both a declaration of faith and a response of worship. It reminds us that worship is more than the songs we sing—it is a life devoted to God, marked by gratitude, reverence, and a growing relationship with Him.
Throughout the song runs a longing to know God more deeply, to honour Him with every part of our lives, and to declare His goodness, grace, and everlasting love.
Although Ennalumae was written in 2012, it was released more than a decade later. The years between writing and release reflect a journey of patience, preparation, and God's faithfulness.
The song was inspired by Here I Am to Worship, with permission obtained to create this Tamil transliteration. It stands as a heartfelt expression of worship while honouring a song that has encouraged believers around the world.
Our prayer is that Ennalumae encourages people to draw closer to Jesus Christ and worship Him wholeheartedly. Whether sung in church, during personal devotion, or in quiet moments of reflection, may it remind every listener of God's unfailing love, amazing grace, and faithfulness.
To God alone be all the glory.
